Hello friends,
For the past 13 years I have been working at Full Life, a day program for adults with developmental disabilities in Portland, Oregon. As you can imagine, the past two years have been a real challenge for our community due to the pandemic. Our main space is closed and we have not been able to provide in-person supports, but thankfully we have found creative ways to keep our community connected. For the past year and a half, I have been on Zoom with groups of our clients for 5-6 hours a day enjoying all kinds of adventures. I am very thankful that I get to spend time hanging out with my friends from Full Life everyday, running a variety of online classes and activities, as well as facilitating a social space for friends to chat and joke around.
One of the projects we are currently very excited about is the return of the Full Life Radical Radio Show on Freeform Portland, a nonprofit, independent, community-driven radio station broadcasting live at KFFP-LP 90.3 FM, KFFD-LP 98.3 FM & KYQT 101.5 FM in the Portland metropolitan area and at their online audio stream. Our show is on the air every two weeks on Monday from 4-6pm PST. Our premier episode was Monday, Oct 11, 2021. You can listen to past episodes on the Full Life Radical Radio Show Mixcloud page.
